What started in 2008 as a project is becoming a bright future for the Batwa dynasty. Thanks to UOBDU management for spear heading education project among the Batwa.

This year 2014, the project enrolled 3 Batwa children at ago to different universities in Uganda for degrees. This has never happened in the history of Batwa communities in Uganda.

These children are offering different courses which were carefully chosen for future enhancement of Batwa society. A girl called Alice Kyomuhangi is offering BBA/Accounting at Bugema University, Robert Ngabirano is offering Bachelor of Social work and Social Administration at Bishop Stuart and Alex Ahimbisibwe is offering Bachelor of Development studies at Bishop Barham University.

Great thanks goes to the management of Act and Empower for their tirelessly support to this project, without them this wouldn’t have been successful.

At UOBDU we wish our children all the best such that at the end of 3 years we shall all be celebrating their achievements and commitments.

“Together with Batwa we can, yes we can”
